Description

Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur, India, is regarded as the pilgrimage centre for Buddhism. It is a sacred monument of Navayana Buddhism. Literally, Diksha means an act of ordaining and bhoomi means a land or ground. It means a ground where the people are ordained as Buddhist.

It is the known place across the global and celebrated its diamond jubilee in 2016. It is considered as the place for transformation of thoughts for millions of people. It is also known as the central memorial of Babasaheb Ambedkar.

It is the place where Dr. Ambedkar with millions other embraced Buddhism on 14th October and thus, the day is celebrated as Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Din. This place is visited by millions every year, especially on this day. It is the biggest stupa in Asia signifying the conversion ceremony
